Brian Burke's Alone Together marks his fifth solo exhibition with Ingram Gallery.
This new body of work most likely began percolating several years ago when Burke first painted people at art openings. Self referential in subject matter, Burke's stepping off point is the art world itself. Post modern in perspective - he explores the point of view of the canvas. Burke uses this original sight line in order to place the magnifying glass upon us - the viewers, purveyors, and consumers of art.
