Brian BURKE Masked, faceless, alienated and tragic, Brian Burke's Technicians question both masculinity and conformity. Whereas past work explored the trappings of day to day male-ness - the suit, the tie - white collar as a literal and metaphorical restriction - Burke now digs deeper into the male psyche, challenging our notions of power and control with a charged and moving series of paintings. |
